Family Resemblance

What does it mean to truly resemble our Heavenly Father?

Continuing through the Sermon on the Mount, Pastor Adam Bishop teaches that spiritual maturity isn't measured by how much we know about God, but by how closely our lives reflect His love. Through Jesus, we are welcomed into God's family and given a new identity—not because we've earned it, but because of His grace.

As children of God, we're called to love people who are different from us, just as God loved us while we were still far from Him. This kind of love doesn't come naturally; it's the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit, who transforms us over time as we draw near to God through worship, prayer, and His Word.

Rather than striving to become better on our own, Jesus invites us into the Father's presence, where lasting transformation takes place. The more we abide in Him, the more we begin to resemble Him.
