Most importantly, Jesus' teaching calls us to examine whether we truly know Him. Following Jesus isn't simply about outward appearances, church involvement, or knowing the right things to say. It's about receiving the free gift of salvation and allowing that relationship with Jesus to transform us from the inside out.
