Seven Reasons For The Rapture
Pastor Adam Bishop

This week in Living with the End in Mind, we leaned into a big question: What does the Bible actually say about the rapture? Walking through 1 Thessalonians 4, Matthew 24, John 14, and Revelation 19, we outlined the sequence many Christians see in Scripture—Rapture → Great Tribulation → Second Coming of Christ—and why the rapture is best understood as a distinct moment when Jesus rescues His church. Rather than producing fear, this teaching anchors us in hope: God has a plan, Jesus keeps His promises, and His return is closer than we think.
We also considered what this means for everyday discipleship in the Triangle: if the rapture is imminent, then our time matters now. Be a light. Share the gospel with neighbors and friends. Live ready. And remember the difference Scripture draws between Jesus as a rescuing Savior who meets us in the air and Jesus as a judging King whose return every eye will see.
Before the message, our church family prayed over the Dominican Republic team heading to serve our sister church, Jehovah Nisi, and we celebrated your Hurricane Helene relief generosity—14 trips and tangible impact as an arts district reopened. Thank you for being a church that reaches, teaches, and releases for the glory of God.
