What will heaven really be like? It’s a question many of us have wondered about, especially when we’ve experienced loss, uncertainty, or difficult seasons. In this message from the Afterlife series, we explore what the Bible tells us about heaven, what happens when we die, and the hope followers of Jesus have for eternity.

Scripture gives us the promise that those who belong to Jesus will be with Him after death. We also look forward to the resurrection of the dead and receiving a resurrected body. Ultimately, the Bible points us toward the new heaven and new earth, where God will dwell with His people. Rather than imagining heaven as an endless church service or simply floating on clouds, we see a picture of life fully redeemed—life without the brokenness and stain of sin.

The goal of this message isn't simply to give us more information about heaven. It's to give us hope. This world is not our final home, and whatever we may be facing today, we can trust the God who has promised to see His plans through to completion. Heaven gives us something eternal to look forward to—and sometimes that hope is exactly what we need to keep moving forward.
