The Gift of Sabbath
In a culture that celebrates busyness and constant productivity, Jesus offers a different way—a way of abiding, resting, and delighting in God’s presence.
This 8-week women’s group will explore practical ways to cultivate a biblical rhythm of Sabbath, helping us slow down, rest in God’s presence, delight in His goodness, and intentionally practice the way of Jesus in our everyday lives. Together, we will study Scripture, engage in meaningful discussion, and learn practical rhythms that can be lived out beyond our time together.
In addition to exploring Sabbath, we will spend time learning about the spiritual disciplines of silence and solitude, recognizing that creating space to be with God is foundational to spiritual formation. Participants will also have the opportunity to develop a personalized plan and practical rhythms that support a lifelong practice of rest and communion with God.
All participants will need to buy The Sabbath Practice Companion Guide by Practicing the Way (John Mark Comer) and bring their Bible, notebook and a pen. The group will also participate in a serve experience with NewHope Missions and a fun event. When signing up for the group the leader will respond back within 24 hours via text or email to confirm your attendance and commitment to the group. The group meets at the church and begins on Tuesday, 9.22. Childcare is provided and children must be registered before the semester begins.
This group starts meeting on 9/22/2026.
