The Familiar Stranger

Christians today are hungry for authentic spiritual experiences, yet all too often they don't have the knowledge of or relationship with the Holy Spirit. The confusion and unfamiliarity that surround the Person of the Holy Spirit, lead too many Christians either to sideline him or misunderstand what he means for their spiritual lives. For a generation searching desperately for an experiential spirituality, there's good news: the Holy Spirit's indwelling presence to empower and transform is freely available. Using Tyler Staton's "The Familiar Stranger" as our guide, alongside the church's sermon series, participants will move beyond simply gaining knowledge about the Holy Spirit toward experiencing His presence, learning to recognize His voice, and partnering with Him in everyday life. We invite you to join us in this study that will meet weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 PM at the church beginning Tuesday October 6 and ending Tuesday December 8. We will not meet on Tuesday 11/24 for Thanksgiving break. In addition, the group will also participate in a Fun experience and a Serve experience with NewHope Missions. When signing up for the group, you can expect that the group leader will respond back to you within 24 hours via text or email to confirm your attendance and commitment to the group. Childcare is available and your child must be registered before the semester begins.
