📰 The Good News – Week 3🎄

Hey families! We are just FIVE days away from celebrating Christmas – the birth of our Savior, Jesus! We took a journey with the three magi this week as we learned about them following the bright, shining star that eventually led them to Jesus – the KING, the SAVIOR, the one who was going to literally change mankind. Do you ever wonder what the magi were thinking as they were traveling? Would their thoughts consist of “I wonder if we will actually meet the Messiah?” “Will He really rescue us and give us the chance to be best friends with Jesus?” “What happens when we get there?” “I wonder if the family will receive the gifts that we’ve brought with us?” Check out their journey to Jesus in God’s Word: Matthew 2:1-12.

📰 The Good News – Week 2 🎄

Hey families! Have you ever tried to predict something and it came true? We learned last week that God keeps His promises and this week we learned that God always has a plan. We learned that Joseph didn’t start out too sure about God’s plan, but when an ANGEL came to him, Joseph knew exactly what to do. He would love Mary and be the earthly father to Jesus! 📰 The Good News – Week 1 🎄

Hey families! Guess what? We have GOOD NEWS! We have officially kicked off the Christmas celebrations in hopetown and we are so ready to dive in and look at what REALLY matters this Christmas. We looked at the promise God made in His word MANY years ago when God told us that there was a Savior coming. Talk about this more in depth with your family by reading the clues – Isaiah 7:13-16, Genesis 3:15 & Micah 5:2.

Gratitude Week 5

We are wrapping up our month long journey on having gratitude and saying THANK YOU! Our younger kids checked out the verses in Psalms 149:1-5 that reminds us that we can always praise God for the things He is doing in our lives. There is always good. Our elementary kids checked out the story of the Lord’s Supper and the Last Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
