January 2023: Week 4
Hey there families, thank you for bringing your child to NH Kids today! All month long our preschoolers have been learning about how Jesus is amazing! Today they learned about how Jesus helped Peter catch so many fish, after Peter had spent all night and not caught one fish (Luke 5:1-10). This week, during your child’s bath time, add some bright colored fish to the tub and ask your child to catch all the fish! Once they have caught all the fish, remind them how Peter caught so much fish his boat began to sink. That’s because Jesus helped him to catch so many. Jesus is amazing!
Today our Elementary Schoolers learned about how Jesus was tempted in the desert (Luke 4: 1-13). Your child learned how Jesus knew the wise thing to do because He knew what the Bible said. He was able to make the right choice because He knew what was true. The Bible is God’s true Word and can help us in every situation. Take time this week to read the Bible as a family. Take it one step further and memorize a verse as a family. A great place to start would be your child’s memory verse for this month: Proverbs 2:6! “The Lord gives wisdom. Knowledge and understanding come from his mouth.” Proverbs 2:6, NIrV
