January 2023: Week 2
Hey Families, we hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy NewYear. We missed you this past week but hope that time together was special!
Last month, in NH Kids, we learned how Jesus came as a baby. This month, we are learning about what Jesus grew up to do! Today all of our classes learned about how Jesus taught at the temple when He was just a kid. Check it out in God's Word: Luke 2:41-50. Jesus grew up loving God and showing other people what God is like and who He could be to them. People were amazed at Jesus’ teaching- even at such a young age. Your Preschooler chanted the phrase “Jesus is amazing” all throughout their class time today. We encourage you to tell your child something amazing you have seen Jesus do in your life- it can be simple as allowing the sun to shine or to hear the birds chirp. Show them why you think Jesus is amazing!
Your elementary schooler learned that knowing God is the most important thing, even as a kid! At dinner, talk about as a family how you show that God is the most important thing. Maybe it is by setting aside time to pray before you eat, or reading your Bible, or going to church even when it’s raining outside. See if your child can come up with any other ways that they can show this importance through their life.
